Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search widget is sent to the provider that supplies that tool. Our servers do not retain a copy of the search terms. If you contact us, we receive the contents of that message and use them to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Like most hosted services, this one generates routine logs such as IP address, browser information, viewed pages, and timestamps. We review aggregated information to maintain the service and understand broad use patterns. Cookies or comparable technologies can support basic analytics and advertising measurement where used.
How Information Is Used
Technical information supports operation, troubleshooting, traffic measurement, and improvements. We do not sell lists of visitors or construct individual visitor profiles from this information.
External Services and Links
Jackson County and Missouri portals, library collections, archives, and sponsored search providers are separate services. Their own privacy terms govern data submitted to them, including information entered into a third-party search result tool.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers process the logs needed to operate the service. Analytics or advertising providers may receive the automatic technical data described above. We disclose information only when valid legal process requires it or as otherwise required by law.
Safeguarding Information
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the operational purposes described here. There are no user accounts, passwords, or personal profiles maintained by this site.
Visitors Under 18
This reference is intended for adults and does not target children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor sent us information, contact us so it can be removed.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on your location, you may be able to ask to access, correct, or delete personal data a service maintains. Because this service keeps little information, a request generally concerns the contact mailbox or applicable logs. Use the Contact page to make a request. Government records held by Missouri, Jackson County, or city custodians are outside our control; requests about them belong with the responsible custodian. Missouri’s Sunshine Law, RSMo Chapter 610, governs public-record access, while the Safe at Home program has separate address-confidentiality protections under RSMo §§589.660–589.683.
Policy Revisions
Any revision will appear here. Continued use after a revision means you accept the updated policy.
